First of all, this is the finest and most interesting Tolkien (read not LoTR Server) that I've ever seen.

Second, when I try to log both my daughter and I into the server we both cannot at the same time. There are separate ISP addresses. I am using a Netgear Router. I have changed the NWNplayer.init file to different client ports and still no luck.

Both computers use XP Pro. If you are giving highly technical advice, you will have to slow it down a little for me as I'm not fully computer literate (especially when it comes to ports and IP addresses and all that). If anyone can help, that would be lovely. Hope to see you all in game.

Do you have two copies of the game... Two different CD keys

Yes, two different CD keys. If I was attempting to use the same key I would get a different error (only one computer at a time could be logged into gamespy). I also tried using a direct connect via LAN game and a gamespy login (and every permutation thereof) to no avail.

Thanks for mentioning that point though.

Double check that the NWNplayer.ini file do indeed have two different numbers

and then try to join another multiplayer game together.

If you are able to join another multiplayer game together but are unable to join MERP together then your problem is beyond my expertise and likely beyond the expertise of the people left checking this forum.
