PLATEMAIL uses a death-respawning system that sends the PC to the Fugue Plane with a sliding penalty to XP and GP. The penalties are as follows:

• 10% Gold loss

• 25 XP / Level loss

• By default, level loss is not enabled. However, the exception to this is if a PC is on “The Most Wanted” list. PCs on the most wanted will lose a level of experience if they are killed and chose to respawn.

Upon arriving in Fugue, there are Deity statues, which if the PC’s patron Deity’s statue is present, then through conversation with the statue, it may provide a token of patronage to help assist the PC upon their return. If the PC is not assigned a patron Deity then they may select one by conversing with the corresponding Deity’s statue while in Fugue.

The PC may use the “Fugue Portal” to return back to the Prime Material Plane via a number of options:
1. Return back to the exact location of death for a scaled price.
2. If the area they died within has an “Area Portal”, to that portal.
3. To another area’s portal as is available / selected.

NOTE: The Fugue’s portal options varying depending on a number of PC factors such as class, alignment, available gold, etc.

NOTE: Certain actions and functionality are either not permitted or otherwise disabled while the PC remains in Fugue.


DEV STATUS: The above statements are subject to change as PLATEMAIL (Seviss Isles 6) is currently under development. This system is slated for update / replacement, upon which, this information will be updated to reflect those changes.
